I. Regulatory & Operational Standards
Oregon Farmstead Apothecary Association Framework ($5.00/yr)
Under Oregon private association statutes and contractual common law, Baronial Acres Livestock Apothecary operates as a private member association. All galenical preparations, leg washes, parlor balms, and drenches listed in our Master Register are non-commercial, hand-compounded animal husbandry aids dispensed exclusively to registered Association Members ($5.00 annual dues).
Formulations are not offered for open, over-the-counter commercial public retail sale. Association membership establishes a direct private relationship between our compounding herbalists and livestock stewards, allowing for custom batch preparation, traditional herbal dispensing, and direct farmstand pickup or private allocation shipping in accordance with state regulations.
ODA & Oregon Veterinary Practice Act Compliance
In accordance with the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA) animal remedy regulations (ORS 596.095) and the Oregon Veterinary Practice Act (ORS Chapter 686), all Master Register galenicals are classified as traditional botanical animal husbandry aids, hygiene preparations, and grooming tonics.
Baronial Acres Livestock Apothecary personnel act as master herbalists and livestock breeders, not licensed veterinarians. Our preparations are not synthetic pharmaceutical drugs, nor are they intended to diagnose, prescribe for, treat, or cure acute veterinary medical emergencies or contagious animal diseases in place of licensed veterinary medical care. Association members are advised to maintain active relationships with licensed large animal veterinarians for acute medical emergencies.
Performance Horse Clean Formulation & Zero-Withholding Standards
Elite equine athletes competing under NRHA, NCHA, AQHA, USEF, or FEI jurisdiction demand absolute purity, leg soundness, and zero-withholding confidence. Our performance line (Formulas 26 through 45) is compounded strictly from whole botanical extractions, natural tree resins, copper clays, and organic grain spirits.
We guarantee that our performance preparations contain no synthetic chemical masking agents, artificial fragrances, petroleum derivatives, or prohibited pharmaceutical adulterants. While our products utilize pure traditional herbs (e.g. arnica, rosemary, thyme, propolis), trainers managing competition lines subject to zero-tolerance herb lists are provided full botanical ingredient transparency to review against specific event rulebooks prior to competition.
Quality Control, Hand-Compounding & Zero-Petroleum Standards
Every formula in our 60-Formula Master Register is compounded in small batches on our estate in North Plains, Oregon. We utilize only pure, unrefined carrier bases including estate-harvested unbleached beeswax, raw propolis, renders of clean leaf lard, cold-pressed vegetable oils, and organic grain spirits.
We strictly reject petroleum jelly (petrolatum), mineral oil, parabens, phthalates, and artificial colorants. Because our products are hand-crafted using natural botanical resins, raw honeys, and unrefined clays, minor batch-to-batch variations in color, aroma, and consistency naturally occur and are a hallmark of authentic Tudor galenical compounding.
